Games 79,80 Heat, Pistons

Game 79 55-23 Cats @ 46-32 Heat

The Bobcats came into tonight's game with a plan. That plan was to get LeBron into foul trouble. They accomplished this goal when LeBron picked up his 4th foul late in the 3rd. He picked up his 5th in the middle of the fourth and his 5th with 1:39 to go, not that the last foul mattered much. The Cats were up 56-42 after the free throws.

The Cats ran up a 10-0 lead in the 1st before the Heat went on a 16-3 run to end the quarter. The Heat kept it close in the 2nd and were only down 25-21 at halftime. In the 3rd the were within 2 points before the Cats went on a 7-1 run. The Cats steadily pulled away in the fourth. The LeBron foulout was the icing on the cake.

Odd Stat: Mike miller with 0 points in 16 minutes.

Game 80 36-23 Cats v 31-48 Pistons

The Cats welcomed the Pistons to their home court and promptly told them to not even try to win or they would get crushed. Well the Pistons did try to win and they got crushed. The Cats won 58-49. The game was close in the 1st and then the Cats inserted their claws into the Pistons and ripped them to shreds.
The story of the game was how physical each team played. It seems like all of Detroit is angry at Manfred Nissley the GM of the Bobcats for ripping them off via the trade route.
The Pistons thought they were getting good deals in their dealings with the Cats. Manfred pulled a fast one on the Pistons GM and traded the Cavs first pick for both Pistons picks this year. Now it looks like Detroit would have had a shot at a top 5 pick and a 31-36 pick. Instead they only get a shot at the number one pick, and depending on how the ping pong balls fall they might not even have a top 5! Now the Cats have both pistons picks and possibly 2 picks in the 31-36 range since they own the Cavs 2nd rounder.
3 Detroit players will finish out the season playing hurt. Monroe twisted his ankle, Gordon bruised his tailbone and Stuckey pushed Marion after a hard foul that gave him a bruised hip.
After a foul at the 1:06 mark in the first quarter things got rather heated. Hamilton took a swing at Neal. Neal saw it coming and ran away. Hamilton had to be slapped on the hand by a teammate in order to get him to cool off. During the same stoppage in play Thabo got in the face of Prince Aminu. (Aminu is a direct descendant of Nigerian Kings)

Odd Stat of the night: Bynum- 6 minutes. 0 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists
